FIAlab for Windows
5.0 software is specifically designed to control the FIAlab series
instruments. Several years were spent writing and testing this software to meet
the stringent requirements of flow injection analysis. Customer response tells
us these requirements have been more than met, yet the software remains easy to
learn, and versatile enough for use in fields outside standard FIA and SIA, such
as Mass Spectrometry, FT-IR, Fluorescence Microscopy, Flow Fluorescence,
Electrochemistry, and Chemical Sensor Technology. FIAlab for
Windows is also ideal for online monitoring and process control applications.

Key features include:
Automatic calibration curve generation, automatic dilution of standards, quality
control samples, periodic calibration curve regeneration. Automatic
compensation for response drift (e.g., caused from degradation of a Cadmium
column over the coarse of a Nitrate run).
Various peak characterization functions such as peak height, and area under
curve, slope.
Powerful 2-D and 3-D data plotting (including: bar, line, scatter, and surface
plots), merging and superposition of response curves generated at different
experimental runs, ready for presentation or transfer into other programs such
as MS Power Point
Automated report generation and automated emailing capabilities
Reports can be automatically exported to MS Excel
Handles up to four FIAlab systems simultaneously, creating up to four
independent calibration curves for multi-channel assays.
Full compatibility with
FIAlab automated systems (FIAlab-2500,
FIAlab-3000, FIAlab-3500, MicroSIA system), Ocean Optics UV/VIS and VIS/NIR
spectrometers, FIAlab's PMT-FL fluorometer, a large assortment of brand and
model autosamplers, peristaltic pumps, syringe pumps, multiposition and
injection valves, A/D and D/A devices, etc. Please inquire for specifics.
One of the key features of
FIAlab for Windows is its user friendly script based programming language. This
language consists of a simple BASIC like command structure, with all the
available commands presented in a floating list box. The user simply points and
clicks the desired command, automatically adding the command to the
procedure.
The FIAlab user can either write their own FIA
script from scratch, select a prewritten script from the list of
templates, or download a script from the online library, to use directly, or to
modify, as needed.

Device Driver for FIAlab
Line of Instruments
FIAlab Instruments now offers Active X control for FIAlab
Instruments. Using this control, the programmer can easily interface with the
line of FIAlab instruments from their own software. This control is compatible
with Labview, Visual Basic 5.0/6.0/.net, MSVC++ 5.0/6.0/.net, and most other
products that supports Active X technology. Just drop the control into your
project and send commands as easily as "SyringeInitialize=true". The FIAlabX
Active X control is available free with the purchase of any of the FIAlab line
of instruments (as is our standard "FIAlab for Windows" software).
