Onyx™ Advantages & Benefits: Dilute & Shoot

Onyx’s dual pore structure (2µm macropore and 130Å mesopore) makes it an ideal column for simply diluting dirty, complex samples and injecting them directly onto the column.  The large 2µm through-pores have less potential for sample clogging (vs. particle-based columns) by contaminants in the matrix. 

In addition to dilute-and-shoot samples, protein precipitate samples, from very complex matrices like plasma and urine, can be analyzed very easily on Onyx columns. 

Using a dilute-and-shoot method or quickly precipitating your sample eliminates lengthy sample preparation steps.
