The Lab-On-Valve system supports a novel  methodology for down scaling reagent based assays to microliter level based on Sequential and Bead Injection techniques. It employs Sequential Injection for solution metering, mixing, dilution, and incubation,  while the monitoring of the reaction products is carried out by UV-VIS or fluorescence spectroscopy.  Microfluidic manipulation, spectroscopy, data collection and graphic presentations are facilitated by dedicated FIAlab software, while pumping, valving and spectroscopy are controlled by FIAlab 3000 or FIAlab-3500 systems.
