FIAlab-2500 - For Classical Flow Injection Analysis

The FIAlab-2500 offers a complete automated flow injection analysis system, including FIAlab for Windows control software, and the UV/VIS (or VIS/NIR) spectrometer based detector. The low cost of the FIAlab-2500 makes this system appealing to academic teaching and research laboratories. The robust design and adaptability make it the best choice for commercial laboratories performing routine Agricultural and Environmental Assays such as Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, Phosphate, Chloride, and Iron.  Most of these methods are fully EPA approved.   Please inquire for information on specific assays not listed in the above link.

1) no need to purchase separate expensive manifolds for each type of method. 2) wavelength selections are made through software, no additional filters or lamps are required when switching between methods.  3) monitoring multiple wavelengths (up to four) substantially extends the system's dynamic range. 4) further extend range by simultaneous use of a short and long path flowcell (optional configuration).  5) reference wavelengths are utilized for compensation of colored matrices and index of refraction affects.  6)  adjust sample loop size via. software using timed injections.  No need to physically change a sample loop when switching assays.  7) multiple channel systems can be separated and run as multiple single channel systems when desired. 8) automatic correction for response drift (for example, caused by degradation of the Cadmium column during the course of a run).    9) available with 180, 270, and 360 sample capacity autosamplers. 10) the FIAlab-2500 is easy to learn, easy to run, and simple to maintain.

Multichannel FIAlab-2500 systems are used for processing simultaneous assays. Up to four systems can be connected for multiple simultaneous analyte processing. For instance, a dual channel system can simultaneously process Nitrate and Phosphate, or Nitrate and Chloride. A three channel system can simultaneously process, e.g., Ammonia, Phosphate, and Nitrate. 

Ultra Low Level Assays - The FIAlab-2500 can be configured to measure nitrite, nitrate, plus other analytes in the low parts per billion range using a 10 cm long path flowcell. Please inquire for additional information.

In the above example, Nitrate was measured at 540 (blue) and 600 nm (green), and Chloride was measured at 480 (cyan)  and 520 nm (red). Monitoring each analyte at two or more wavelengths can dramatically increase the dynamic range, where the optimal wavelength is used for lower concentrations, and the suboptimal wavelength for higher concentrations.

Optional Accessories
Dual-FC Dual Flowcells for extended dynamic range.   Simultaneous use of a 1 cm and 10 cm flowcell, in series, offers a significantly increased dynamic range.   Uses a dual channel spectrometer.   Other flowcell length combinations can be used, please  inquire.
SCSP-2500 Auto Dilutor - No need to prepare multiple standards, let the SCSP-2500 dilutor prepare the standards automatically.  The SCSP-2500 aspirates standards and samples from autosampler, delivers the resulting sample  to the FIAlab-2500, filling the sample loop to  the desired dilution level.   Accurate dilutions up to twenty fold.   Easily create calibration curves from a single standard.
RQV The new Rapid Queuing Valve option allows assays of phosphate and ammonia to be performed at around nine seconds per sample with no loss of accuracy or sensitivity.  Some limitations do apply, for instance the RQV is not compatible with the SCSP-2500 autodilutor option.  Please inquire for additional information to see if the Rapid Queuing Valve will work with your specific application(s).
FTHEAT Flow through heater required for elevated temperature assays such as Ammonia. Temperature control from ambient up to 50 C. Accuracy is +/- 0.5 C. Coil is made from Teflon tubing 0.03 ID, total coil volume is approximately 700 microliters (other sizes available).  
Flow Cells Flowcells from 1 mm to 10 cm optical path lengths
AS-VALVE Automatic Shutdown Valve.   At method completion, the AS-VALVE dual 3-way valve switches to rinse position for automatic removal of reagent(s) from manifold.
