Oceanographic Monitoring and Remote Site typically have very stringent requirements with respect to low reagent consumption, low waste production, and robustness.   Sequential Injection Analysis is ideally suited for remote site monitoring, where the system can be set up for sampling at predefined intervals.

Flow Injection for Chemical Oceanography: Chemical Analysis for Oceanographic research  is a very challenging area, relying on a  cutting edge, robust  analytical instrumentation, that  must be easily transferable  from laboratory on board of a research vessel, where it must function well, with minimum maintenance for long periods of time.

Microbial Testing : The Colifast At-line Monitor (CALM) is a stand-alone industrial autoanalyser used to determine the presence and quantity of  fecal coliforms in water by monitoring Beta-galactosidase activity fluorometrically.    This instrument is setup for continuous monitoring at remote sites (see photo below).  This system has been running for over two years with 100% uptime.
